Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 KJV)

What a name, it is a Name that has been exalted above every name. This name has authority, authority to bring salvation to the worst sinner. Peter’s message is the only hope we have is Jesus. There is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ. Today is the day of salvation, harden not your heart, call upon the name given which is above ALL names, that name has the power to save to the utter most.

“Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.” (Acts 4:10-11 KJV)

Jesus was rejected by those who were looking for Him because  He was  not what they expected. Many times people refuse Jesus simply because He was not what they were expecting. Jesus is the Son of God that was crucified and shed His blood to make us righteous in the site of God. Thank You for the gift of everlasting life!

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7 KJV)

One of my favorite verses, when life gets hard (and it will from time to time) we have someone to go to. Someone who is bigger than your parents, spouse, best friend, or your pastor. Ad may I say bigger than your problems. We can bring our troubles directly to the throne of God! Peter was no stranger to trouble, he tells us that we can “cast all your care(s)” anything you are struggling with, anything you are going through, anything, we can trust Christ to bring us through it. Because “He careth for You.” What a blessing is that.

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  (Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV)

We are so thankful for all the ones that God has placed in our lives as examples and encouragement (that great cloud of witnesses) We are told to run our race and that we need to set aside those thing that will get in the way of our race. As we run this race that is set before us, we must keep our eyes on Jesus. He is the author, the architect, the designer, the builder of our Salvation. He is also identified as the finisher, He shed His Blood.
