(27) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (29)My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:27-29 KJV
Amid all the uncertainties of this present evil world; the saved person can hold fast to their confidence in their salvation. Christ Himself declared that nothing we can do will undo our salvation. We are not to abuse that permanence (See Romans 6:1-18) ; but we are told plainly that we will never be lost again.
Some have said that cannot be so. Christ says otherwise. What power have we to remove what God has put in place? To be able to remove our salvation is to render the sacrifice of Christ insufficient. To undo salvation would give us some power over Christ (of which we have none). Salvation is not gained by any work. Nor is it lost by any work. Works will affect our reward at the Judgment Seat, but not our final residence. (See I Corinthians 3:12-15)
Jesus Christ provided our sacrifice. He paid the full, entire price of our salvation. We need only to accept His offer. Rest assured, Christian, if you have truly trusted Christ; you have been established on a foundation that cannot be moved. Your salvation is secure in Him. And it will be until the day He calls us home.
Let no man, woman or spirit lead you to believe otherwise. Stand on what is said by Christ in God’s word. If salvation were not so, the Lord would have told us. If you are truly saved, your salvation is secure in Christ by and through the power of Almighty God.
