Romans 12:1-2 KJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Paul began with an earnest plea, “I beseech you…” it’s the same as saying “I am begging you…” or “Pleading you…” That we should lead a life acceptable unto God. He calls it “our reasonable service.” Our life has been bought with a price, the precious Blood of Christ. Because He died for me. I should live for Him. This passage tells us we should present our bodies a living sacrifice. Also don’t conform but to change (transformed) our minds by the Word of God to be in the will of God. We cannot be friends of this world and be what God wants to be.
